Fall in Bihar RJD supremo Lalu Prasad on Saturday said his party and LJP will put up candidates in the three Lok Sabha constituencies now held by the Sonia Gandhi-led party in the state.Earlier this week, RJD and LJP headed by Ram Vilas Paswan announced a seat-sharing deal in Bihar leaving just three seats for Congress held by it now.
Lalu snapback on the seats sharing issue and said, "if they were so strong, why were they demanding seats from us? Instead, we should have demanded the seats from them."
Fall in UP "From our side, we were always keen on an alliance and we had agreed to leave as many as 17 of Uttar Pradesh's 80 Lok Sabha seats for them, but still they did not seem to be satisfied," said Amar Singh, the Samajwadi Party general secretary.
Fall in Jharkhand The JMM has severed its seat-sharing pact with Congress in Jharkhand and vowed to contest all 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state. JMM leader Durga Soren said, “Congress has betrayed us.”
