The nation’s largest car manufacturer company Maruti Suzuki has established a new record in monthly sales. With 100874 units sales in the last month of the year December, it has set records straight-it is the first car manufacturer in the country to sold over a lakh unit in a month.
On companies landmark achievement Maruti Suzuki executive officer Mayank Pareek said “This has been a big achievement for us, considering the fact that customers usually stay away from buying cars in year-end”. He further added “in fact we embarked on a mission to break this tendency and cross the one lakh retail sales”.
With this sale Maruti Suzuki broke its own record bettering 81800 units in October 2009. According to Mayank sales in October are compounded by festive season that includes Depawali and Ied, however breaking 1 lakh barrier mark in December is a huge achievement.
