Maruti to hike prices Nation’s leading car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is considering price hike, the revised prices would be known with in a due course of time. Addressing media persons company’s commercial business head SN Burman said “The move to hike prices is necessitated due to increasing commodity prices, particularly steel and copper which are integral for car manufacturing. Prices of these two have shot up in recent times by around 50%”. He was speaking on the sidelines of the launch of Eeco the most awaited car from Maruti Suzuki’s broad car range. On quantum of price hike, he refused to divulge any thing. Maruti Suzuki last hiked its prices in the early 2009, one year back. |
